HOTEI Black

Hotei  is the Japanese name for the laughing monk of fortune, derived from the Chinese word Budai, meaning “Cloth Sack.” He is one of the Seven Lucky Gods in Japan, revered as the bringer of happiness, abundance, and good fortune. With his round belly and joyful smile, He embodies contentment and generosity, carrying a sack filled with blessings to share with all. Though playful and lighthearted, he also represents deep wisdom, teaching that true prosperity comes from kindness, laughter, and the joy of giving.
